Coaching
Coaches are critical to helping boccia players improve and grow their love for the sport. Anyone can become a coach. All you need is a keen interest in the game of boccia, the right attitude and a willingness to work with others to learn and build a positive team environment. To begin you will need to learn the basic rules and the skills necessary to be an effective communicator.
Our coaching programme is designed to provide a staged professional development pathway so that individuals are certified to coach players at the community level and beyond. To get started, it is recommended that you read the Introductory Coaching Guide for some background knowledge and get associated with existing coaches and players in your local area who will be able to mentor you and answer any concerns you may have.
