The Executive Board
Boccia New Zealand is governed by an Executive Board consisting of 3 selected members made up of President, Vice-President, Secretary-Treasurer and up to two additional board members. The Director of Boccia is an ex-officio member of the board but with no voting rights.
Harvey Brunt (President)
Harvey originally comes from an engineering background, and has extensive experience in the non-profit sector as the current General Manager of the Cerebral Palsy Society of New Zealand based in Auckland. Harvey has contributed to the governance of Boccia New Zealand significantly over the past decade through various roles on the committee. Also a qualified international boccia referee, Harvey has been involved with the sport of boccia for more than 10 years and is regularly invited to officiate at major international competitions.
Len Williams (Vice-President)
Len brings valuable business acumen to the committee through his role as Account Manager at Wickliffe Solutions based in Auckland. Len has been involved with the sport of boccia since the early 2000's both as a committee member of Boccia New Zealand and a highly-respected national-level referee.
Colin Frude (Secretary-Treasurer)
Colin is a qualified secondary school accounting teacher based in Wellington and has been involved with the Wellington boccia club for the past few years as a player-coach. Prior to his involvement in boccia, Colin represented New Zealand in disabled lawn bowls and is currently a member at large on the International Bowls for the Disabled executive.
Andy Henderson
Andy comes from an engineering background and is the Branch Manager at Patton Ltd based in Wellington. Andy is a new addition to boccia but despite his short involvement in the sport, has become a vital person to the development of the Wellington boccia scene - also being nominated as a finalist for the Sport Wellington volunteer awards - and is currently a national-level referee.
